The industry need for this imagery is growing as map-based technology continues to make its way into the everyday management of golf course properties. Irrigation systems, pest control programs, GPS vehicle monitoring, and even mowing equipment are more dependent on reliable and accurate site data. In addition, although GPS mapping of golf courses is becoming common, most superintendents are not inclined to learn AutoCad in order to view and manage the data. Therefore, an easy to use viewer such as RTS Golf Explorer, with the ability to import GPS or AutoCad-based data, makes perfect sense for the industry.
